Many fans recognize MATT BRAUNGER from MadTV and his many other TV appearances including CONAN, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Pete Holmes Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central’s @midnight, Chelsea Lately, and more. He also hosts “The Ding Donger” podcast on Nerdist. Matt’s newest comedy special “Big Dumb Animal” premieres on Netflix worldwide September 18, 2016. 

A Chicago native and an actor since childhood, Matt studied improv in Chicago under such luminaries as Susan Messing and Del Close and he was a founding member of the seminal improv group, The Seaning. Matt also co-founded the popular Bridgetown Comedy Festival that takes place annually in Portland.

His “Big Dumb Animal” comedy special premiered on Comedy Central earlier this year and launches on Netflix this month. It is his second hour special and his third album. In 2010, he recorded his half hour Comedy Central Presents special and in 2012 released his debut hour-long special entitled “Shovel Fighter,” also released as an album. His 2009 debut album ‘Soak Up The Night’ (Comedy Central Records) was named in iTunes REWIND Top 20 Albums of the year.

Matt’s additional TV credits include a recurring role on NBC’s UP ALL NIGHT, a series regular on MADtv, castmember of the popular TruTV series How to Be a Grown Up, and appearances on MARON, Garfunkel and Oates, Family Tree, The Michael J Fox, Happy Endings, HBO’s Family Tree, United States of Tara, Pushing Daisies, Carpoolers, and more.
